The Bexley Selection Test decides entry to 4 grammar schools. Check the entry year first: dates and even the provider can change.

Dates for September 2028 entry are not published yet. We will not guess them from this year's calendar. Bexley used Quest for the 2026 test. Check the provider again for 2027.

What your child sits
- Two multiple-choice booklets, each about 50 minutes plus instructions, with individually timed sections.
- Verbal ability and English comprehension, numerical reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
- Maths content goes no further than the end of Year 5.
How it is scored
- Age-standardised and weighted: verbal 50%, numerical 25%, non-verbal 25%.
- The council sets the selective score. The top 180 get a high priority category.
- Other qualified children still depend on each school's rules. There are 800 places for 2027 entry.
