What is the pass mark for the 11+?
It depends on the area. Bucks is 121, Birmingham 205, Trafford 334 and Medway 481 (for 2026 entry). Kent needed a total of 332 with no score below 108.
Is a pass mark the same as getting a place?
No. Passing lets a grammar school consider your child. If more children pass than there are places, the school uses its own rules, such as distance or score order.
What is a good 11+ score?
Any score at or above your area's pass mark. For the most popular schools the last place often goes to a higher score, so check the school's cut-off too.
When is the 2026 Kent pass mark published?
With the results on Thursday 15 October 2026.

What it does
Pick your area or school for its published pass mark. Add your child's score to see if it qualifies.
Ten 11+ areas and single schools that publish one qualifying score, five Warwickshire grammar schools, and five areas that publish no single number.
Method
- Each pass mark is copied from the council's or school's own page, with the entry year it belongs to.
- Kent needs two things: a total of 332 and no score below 108, so it takes all three scores.
- Where an area sets its mark after the test or ranks children instead, we say so rather than guess a number.
