Redbridge 11+ sample papers and test format
Redbridge Council links free GL familiarisation for its 11+ test. The two papers cover English with verbal reasoning, then maths with non-verbal reasoning. The council warns that generic materials may differ from the local test in question count, type and difficulty. Use them for familiarisation, not as released Redbridge past papers.
11+ standardised scores: why a free calculator cannot convert your marks
A raw practice percentage is not enough to calculate an official 11+ standardised score. The test’s cohort, age adjustment and scoring method matter. There is no universal GL conversion table for every school. For Kent, you can check already-issued scores against the published rule for the correct test year.
Preparing for the 11+ without a tutor, from Year 4
Start by choosing the school and entry year, then use its official familiarisation and a small routine you can sustain. Our suggested Year 4 starting point is shared reading, confident arithmetic and explaining a method. There is no need to invent a pass percentage or begin with repeated full papers.
11+ SEND access arrangements: a parent’s first checklist
Read the arrangements for your chosen test and speak to your child’s primary-school SENCO early. Rules, evidence and deadlines are local. For the 2026 Kent Test, the primary school had to request arrangements and KCC did not accept requests after 1 July 2026. Do not carry that deadline into a later cycle.
Quest 11+ practice papers: Bexley, Slough and Wirral
Check the entry year before choosing Quest practice. Bexley and Wirral use Quest for September 2026 tests and 2027 entry. The Slough Quest guidance concerns September 2027 testing for 2028 entry. Start with the official route below rather than treating all three as the same calendar or paper.
Redbridge 11+ waiting lists: what to check after an offer
A practice score cannot predict a place from a Redbridge waiting list. Start with the council’s school-allocation instructions and the current policy for Ilford County or Woodford County. Check how to request or confirm waiting-list membership, which address and priority rules apply, and whether an appeal is a separate action.
