Redbridge explains that an offer removes lower-preference schools from your list unless you ask to rejoin their waiting lists. Positions can move up or down as applications arrive. Use the council page’s waiting-list link to check your position through My Redbridge; an offer still depends on a vacancy.

- The official test result and intended Year 7 entry year.
- The council’s offer letter and response deadline.
- Confirmation of any waiting-list request.
- The chosen school’s current policy and the category being applied.
- Any later address or contact-detail updates sent through the official route.
Ask a precise question
Instead of asking whether a score is “safe”, ask the admissions team whether your child is on the right list, what the current position means and what action is required from you. Do not assume that an earlier forum post uses the same school, category or entry year.

Why this works: No. The message supplies a current position, not a rate of movement or a date.
Why the tempting route fails: Turning an ordinal position into a waiting time invents information. Keep the original message and ask the authority what updates it provides.
