Uncertainty and limits
- The council measures in a straight line from the home to the school's approved entrance with its mapping system. A distance from a map app or a postcode centre can differ, and walking or driving routes are longer.
- The furthest offer depends on how many selective children applied from nearer, and on the school's priority rules, so it moves: at Townley it was 6.27 miles for 2022 entry and 11.00 for 2023.
- These are National Offer Day figures; places offered later from waiting lists are not included.
