How the range is worked out
- We add one right and one wrong answer, so a short test never claims a perfect or a zero mark, and show one standard error either side, rounded out to 5%.
- This test covers English comprehension only. The West Midlands test also has verbal reasoning, maths and non-verbal reasoning, and its scores are age-standardised, so this mark is our practice measure, not a test score.

Is this an official paper?
No. The questions are our own, in the style of the West Midlands comprehension questions, and each one was solved independently.
Does it cover maths and reasoning?
No, English comprehension only. Maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning are in the course's lessons and full mocks.
How long does it take?
