Questions parents ask
Is this the real Birmingham test?
No. Every question is our own, written in the question families the King Edward VI Foundation's familiarisation guide shows. The real papers are never published.
How much time does it take?
A lesson takes about ten minutes. Three or four a week gets through the course in about a month, with the mock to follow.
What if my child finds it hard?
Lessons step down after a miss and show a worked example before asking again. Nothing moves on until the idea is secure.
Which schools use this test?
The six King Edward VI grammar schools, Bishop Vesey's and Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls all use the one test. Each school then offers places by its own rules.
