Who can sit the September 2027 test

  • Age

    Children born 1 September 2016 to 31 August 2017. Expect the test in September 2027.

  • Where you live

    Any child living in England, plus service and Crown families returning to the UK. You do not have to live in Kent.

  • Registering

    A parent registers every child. Last year: 1 June to 1 July.

  • Which schools it counts for

    Kent grammar schools only. Medway and Bexley run their own tests.

  • Access arrangements

    The primary school's SENCO applies, before registration closes.

    One question type per lesson, across English, maths and the reasoning paper (verbal, non-verbal and spatial).

    Register, then practise against the clock

    Timed sets on a separate answer sheet. Mistakes go back to their lesson.
